What a hidden gem! We very much enjoyed our lunch here. As a Filipino I was skeptical about Filipino food in Oaxaca. Nonetheless I was craving some comfort food after eating mole for five days straight! Lol we have it a shot and was not disappointed. The palabok was fire. Just like home. The chef is Filipino so you know it’s good. Great hospitality too. Highly recommended

I was homesick for some good Asian food and found this place. It’s definitely a hidden gem, off the beaten path, but well worth coming. I had the tonkatsu , which was incredibly delicious and came with a serving of rice and salad. The cutlet was perfectly fried and the sauces were bomb. The owner was also super nice and hospitable. Would come again!

Great meal for a different flavor! We had the gyoza, tuna poke and the chicken katsu. Poke was fresh with a delicious soy sauce. It has crushed nuts which is a nice addition. The gyoza were lovely and come with a nice ginger sauce. The chicken katsu was wonderful! Moist chicken, perfectly cooked. It comes with rice and miso soup which was a surprise. The sauces are very yummy. The staff is also very friendly and helpful even though our Spanish could be better.

I’ve had my fair share of chicken adobo over the years, but this one takes the crown. Rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious, compliments to the chef! I also tried the lumpia with sweet and sour sauce and some perfectly cooked fried rice, and both were fantastic. Everything hit the spot. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Two visits. Both pleasant. The restaurant is hard to find. It's small but on a corner. Two bars with shelves for eating. A covered patio with two tables. I started both meals with excellent gyoza. Then, first visit, I had lumpiang Shanghai. They're tiny cripy rollos with meat. The second visit and I got menchi katsu. That's hamburger breaded and covered with a sauce. I think the sauce is called Katsu. It was good. For dessert, both times, I got a baked banana in cream wrapped in a pastry shell with a sweet sauce. Very tasty. A photo of the dessert below. The people there are friendly, helpful, and very nice. Pretty much what you expect in Oaxaca. The chef is filipino and the owners are local. My only negative is a slightly limited menu. Try it. You'll probably enjoy it.

Best Palabok ever. From Los baños, to Manila, to Daly City to Carson City, nobody takes their comida filipina this seriously. Talk about a hidden gem.

As a fan of Asian food, I've wanted to try this place for a while and I finally had the opportunity to do so. I loved the food. I ordered some type of Filipino taquitos with rice, it was very exquisite. I had a tea with tapioca and milk. The dessert was also great, the waitress and the chef very attentive. The place is relaxing, clean and beautiful. Card payment option. I can't wait to visit again.

As a Filipino living in Oaxaca, I’m so happy that Grabe Katsu exists! The chef owners are always so kind, and the few Filipino dishes they have are legit and flavors are authentic! I was so shocked that they had pancit palabok, a special noodle dish that’s one of my favorite. Also, I think their Japanese style katsu is the best in the city!
